This will be the EAS resource page for surfski technique, training and tactical resources.

There are three sections on surfski drills grouped under the three key elements of paddling performance as defined by CanoeKayak Canada;

  1. stability: learning how to be stable in your ski through posture and basic paddling mechanics
  2. propulsion: using the stroke to move your ski faster
  3. boat control: including steering, rough water and surfing skills

Each key element if then affected by the five phases of the stroke;

  1. set-up & entry
  2. entry & catch
  3. pull
  4. exit
  5. recovery

More drills and section will be added in the future.
